Sample plots

- Sample plots were established in the fully stocked pine stands of medium to high productivity within a relatively homogeneous area.

- Most pine stands were selected to represent the full range of stand age groups, tree species composition, and structures typically occurring in these ecosystems.

- Based on the forest inventory data, we determined the distribution of areas with predominance of Pinus Sylvestris according to the class V sites.

- 15 to 20 trees were collected per sample area for felling.

- Fifteen to 20 trees were collected per sample area for felling.

- To investigate pine forest stands, a total amount of 150 sample plots were established and 1426 mean sample trees were cut on the territory of the region.
